Blogs are a great way to put opinions and more in depth thoughts about certain topics. Many educators keep blogs about topics that deserve a little more thought. Blogs are a great place to put your thoughts to stay connected to the connected online network that many educators work hard to maintain. To keep up to date with popular education blogs, I often refer to the Teach 100: A Daily Ranking of Education Blogs. This helps the reader with a list of popular blogs. Blogs are great places for educators to reflect on their own teaching skills and share thoughts on them. I have learned a great deal from blogs. There are so many great blogs about education. They are very helpful when thinking about particular topics, how to better your own teaching and examples of successes and failures that we can learn from. You can stay up to date with your favorite blogs by using a RSS Reader. Check out Edublogs to create a blog for educational purposes. Blogs are not just for educators. Blogs can be an amazing way for students to learn as well. Blogs can also be used in the classroom. Teachers can create a class blog to discuss topics related to the class. Wordpress and Blogger are two very easy blog hosting sites to start a blog.
